See Y'all Next Time

After waking well before dawn, hopping to London, flying for across the ocean and eastern U.S. for 10 hours, driving from airport to Nana and Grampa's house and unpacking the car (total travel time - 18 hours), we were exhausted.

But still not too tired to do this...

The travel did catch up with us though so we spent the next couple of days just relaxing.

MadHatter spent some time perfecting her dive...

Stinkerbell became a mermaid.  She was promised a mermaid tail when she gave up her floaties for good, and showed me she could swim in the deep end.  It took her less than an hour...

And MadHatter got one too...

We ate...and ate...and ate...

We made pizza...

We celebrated B's birthday, Father's Day, and Stinerbell's Birthday with more water...

and homemade pancakes...

We got to visit with friends that we hadn't seen since we moved.  They were the first friends we made when we started our expat adventure in Chile, and amazingly, we both summer in the same place each year... 

And then we spent some more time on the water - this time the lake.

And then spent even more time IN the water...

And finally we came to the end of our run.  We had a final celebration for the 4th of July, and then spent the next day packing so that we could move on to the next leg of our trip...the Midwest and visiting family.

Though we couldn't leave with just one more hour of lake jumping and swimming, of course.
