In a flash, both girls found their baskets, emptied them of their goodies and proceeded to find the eggs that had been hidden around our (small) hotel room. It was actually a lot of fun. And the hiding places that the Bunny picked were pretty good. Good enough that we didn't find one of the eggs until we were packing up to go home on Tuesday!

The girls got their traditional before breakfast chocolate (Stinkerbell chose jelly beans) and we were dressed and ready to go long before the park even opened at 10 am. Good thing we had early bird passes, provided with our reservation at the hotel, that allowed us into the park 2 hours ahead of opening!

Our girls went straight to Fantasyland, as it is where our they usually spend most of their time, and the ride lines can get quite long. We headed for Dumbo, but it was closed for repairs. But right next to it was Alice's Curious Labyrinth. Why not? This is a walk through hedge maze that is only found in Paris. As you wind your way through, you find yourself in the center, at the Queen's castle. If you ascend the staircase you find great views of the whole park.

Just as we got out of the maze, the girls spotted Storybook land and off we went.
And then came the Casey Jr. roller coaster (which had just opened from its own technical difficulties so there was no line). This is Stinkerbell's type of roller coaster - wavy hills and slow moving. And then Pinnochio, Peter Pan and Snow White.
Somehow, as we were walking towards Adventureland, B and I ended up on the Tea Cups. How two grown adults that are prone to motion sickness ended up here, I have no idea. Well, yeah, I do. There were two pleading little girls and no one else to go with them...
After all of that spinning, B and I needed time to unwind (pun intended), so we stopped for lunch. And took in a showing of Captain EO (can you believe that I had never seen it?)
And then our guide had us back at it...
The Phantom Manor it was (AKA known as The Haunted Mansion in the US).
I should take a moment to state, that though the rides are very similar to the ones we have been to in the U.S. (both in the Land and World), they are still tailored to the fact that we are in Europe. The Phantom Manor has a European flair to it (and speaks in French). Pirates of the Caribbean has been fitted with chateaus and castles, and is missing Jack Sparrow. Even, It's a Small World opens in Europe (London to be exact). It truly kept everything new and interesting for us. And I was quite surprised at how many of the differences the girls caught. Though I shouldn't have been, really. Both girls have been going to the parks since they were this big...
But I am getting off topic...
Two guesses on where we were headed next. You will only need one.
We got there and the line was only 30 minutes. We jumped in line and remarked on how, so far, our luck had been holding out pretty well today. Unlike yesterday, when the weather was cold, the wind was raging and the rides were breaking, while we were in line, today had been sunny, windless and we kept happening into ride lines just after they had opened (from being broken down).
Our luck ran out at Pirates.
We got about 3/4 of the way through the ride when it stopped. We sat there for about 10 minutes while they tried to get it running again. All the while Stinkerbell and MadHatter danced and danced in their seats because they had to go to the bathroom. Granted, we had known they had to go just before we got on the ride. But we told them it would only be 5 minutes to the end, and they could hold it, since we had been in line for 30 minutes by then. Rookie mistake. Finally, a crew member came by and told us they would be evacuating us. And then disappeared. He came back again and B told him that we needed to get off quickly as MadHatter had an emergency. He said he understood - and then disappeared.
Eventually, the same crew member appeared again and B explained that if they didn't get MadHatter and Stinkerbell off of this ride, they would have a wet ride. Funny, about 2 seconds later he was in the water, pushing our boat to the edge, and we were walking running through the back stage of the park.

Thankfully, the story has a happy ending and we all learned a lesson.

| Papa then surprised them by letting them pick out some new headgear! Finally, for our final ride before dinner, we hit up It's a Small World. Usually, we start our day with a spin through the World, but today there were too many new and exciting things to see so we left it for last. |
Off to dinner at the Rainforest Cafe where we saw the hot air balloon that is on the lake that both our hotel and Disney Village surround, finally in the air.
A quick dinner, a short walk back to the hotel and we called it a successful day. We didn't want to push the girls too hard, we had all day tomorrow at the park still.
