Lights, Music, Action

The girls school is fabulous in so many ways.  Not the least of which is that they offer the kids after school activities, at no additional cost.  MadHatter chose to participate in a yearlong program called LMA Jr.(Lights, Music, Action).  It is for the kids in 1st and 2nd grade.  They graduate to the full LMA class when they are in 3rd grade, which is when they participate in putting on the school play.

LMA Jr. plays instruments.  They learn dances. And they sing songs, in Czech and English.  They giggle together and they run around and they play games.  All in all, once a week, for an hour, they have a great time.  But, it does have a purpose.  This year they put all of their fun afternoons together and produced an incredible show based on a  Czech fairy tale.  It was spectacular.  And fun to watch these girls (and A - our one boy) have so much fun doing it.  I snapped some pics (sorry about the blinding white, the lighting was horrible and nothing I can do can change that)...

I was so proud of MadHatter for getting over her horrible stage fright.  Especially when they had to do the program again in front of the whole elementary school.  She was really nervous that she wouldn't be able to get over it but she powered through her fears and sang and danced along with the best of them.
